LVCC Melbourne Mayhem Day Out.
Saturday July 14, 2018 was a perfect winters day for 21 enthusiastic LVCC Club members to take on the task of Photographically depicting our Melbourne CBD and “Street-photography”. We caught the train at the un-Godly hour of 7:55 am. Some were astounded at the reverse-sunset witnessed on the way to the station. (Not having seen one since their youth!) The transit time passed quickly as we were all engrossed in technical intercourse, and before we knew it: we had arrived at Flinders Street Station. Our seven hour sojourn began with the obligatory group shot on the Station stairs.
Divided into small groups, we followed the route prescribed by our trip organisers: Denny and Floss. They had done a great job of organising and providing the invaluable trip itinerary map. We all sauntered along at our own pace, shooting whatever took our fancy. Mingling at various times along the way. A coffee break in Central Pl. then via the Block Arcade to Hardware Lane for lunch.
Some then caught a tram to St. Patrick's Cathedral, then we visited the Victorian Artist's Society Building, where a wonderful Photographic display was viewed. Time to wet our collective whistles, we thought, so, 'holding-hands' we crossed the road to the Cricketers Bar of the Windsor Hotel.
The light now fading, a quick visit to the smaller lanes off Flinders Lane. Finally doing Hosier Lane and catching the train back.
A very successful venture. Many thanks to Denny & Floss. All Club members are encouraged to join this sort of event in the future. And don't forget to question other members, if you have any technical difficulties. We are always happy to pass on advice, or direct you to someone who can help. That is one of the strong atributes of LVCC.
