Our fellow LVCC member Craig Drowley took out first place in the Animals & Wildlife section – Digital at the recent 43rd Warragul National Photographic Exhibition 2016. Three judges score out of 5 and he was lucky enough to score a 15. This is the first comp outside of camera club comps he has entered so of course was very pleased to have done so well. There was some lovely work on display and as we all know photography judging is very subjective and you never know how your image will be received on the day. Craig would like to encourage more LVCC members to enter next year, it’s a simple process, there are lots of categories and the rewards can be great. Just to have an image selected is very special. Over the years many members have done well in various competitions in Latrobe and further afield, so don’t under estimate your talents – we have some awesome photographers here at LVCC. You have to be in it to win.
One last comment if people are thinking of entering consider submitting at least one print because they are very keen on keeping prints out there in the public eye.
