The Digital Show, Australia's largest photography and consumer technology event, will be at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from Friday 16 October to Sunday 18 October. The three-day show covers a broad range of interests from photography and entertainment to motoring, with pioneering US car maker Tesla set to showcase its new Model S electric vehicle.
The latest products from more than 130 brands – including imaging heavy hitters Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm, Leica, LG, Pentax, Tamron, and Adobe – will be on show in the main exhibition hall. While most of the key photo brands will be present, Canon and Panasonic will be notable absentees.
As well as product exhibitions, a program of free photography and imaging presentations will take place in the new 400-seat, dual-screen Inspiration Theatre. Speakers include Darran Leal, Todd McGaw, Nick Rains, Stu Robertson and Ken Duncan.
Visitors can also sign up to participate in one of four Creative Learning Centre workshops with sessions on food photography, macro photography, flash photography and creative printing. Creative Learning Centre sessions are limited to 16 or 20 people with prices starting at $75.
Judging for the 2015 Australian Professional Photography Awards will take place over the course of the weekend, with visitors able to sit in on judging sessions and observe trhe debates that often accompany image scoring.
The show will be open from 10 to 5 each day and tickets will cost $15 if booked on line or $29.95 at the door.
As soon as I have a working link for further info and ticket purchases I will update the post.
