Hello LVCC members. After the change of our club's name we had a need and an opportunity to replace the CCCC web site which had become seriously out of date. The new web site is now ready to face the world, and it is located on our very own domain www.latrobevalleycameraclub.club
The new site is constructed in a Squarespace environment and extremely easy to maintain and update so it is now reasonable to commit to all the members that the club's web site will always feature the most up to date news and information. Whether you want to know how to enter a competition, make a payment or find out when meetings and outings will be held, the most up to date source will be the LVCC web site. An important feature of the new web site is that it is automatically formatted to appear correctly on desktop browsers and on pads and smart phones, so you can always have important information at hand.
One great new feature of the web site is this blog. It is available to all members as a place to share information, stories and images with fellow members. If you've been on an outing and taken some great images and would like to share them with other members, this is the place to do it. At the moment while we still have the 'training wheels' on, just post your story and images to me (Theo van der Meulen, Web Administrator) and I will post them immediately. A little further down the road I will be publishing a special email address which members can use to post directly to this blog from their computer or handheld device.
At this stage I have placed the Blog in the 'public' section of the site which means any visitor can read it. Please keep this in mind if you choose to publish something - I think it is great to share our goings-on with the world but I would hope we would always demonstrate the positive aspects of belonging to the Latrobe Valley Camera Club.
