“A Day in the Life” due at the February Meeting (allowed to submit three digitals for this comp only)
Good photos tell a story and this competition is an opportunity for us to tell the story of … a day on the life of a subject you choose. The subject could be a person, animal or thing. If you can capture the story in one image, that’s great. If you prefer to use three images (prints or digitals) that’s great too. If you do choose three images we will, for this comp only, accept three digitals. In this case give each of the images the same title and add 1, 2 and 3 to the title to indicate they are part of a series
“S Curve Composition” due at the April Meeting
Images for this competition should feature S curve(s) as a prominent compositional feature. This could apply to many types of photography including landscape, still life and portraits, so use your imagination and be on the lookout for S Curves
“Something Old” due at the June Meeting
Images for this competition should feature an aspect of advanced age as the key theme. Once again, almost any style of photography could be used to tell the story of “…something old”.
“ Open” due at the August Meeting
Each year the Open Competition is our opportunity to submit images of any topic provided it has not been submitted to any previous club competitions,
“Photo of the Year” due at the October Meeting
In this final competition for 2020 we require images which have been submitted previously in a 2020 competition including the “Long Exposure” entries which were submitted in November 2019.
