Here’s a short bio of the judge:

Jean-Philippe Weibel   (JP)

Born and raised in the Swiss Alps I started photographing the mountains that I so enjoyed climbing. After migrating to Australia, I joined the Caulfield Photographic Society in 1987 where I continued my interest in many types of photography, but mainly landscape, both in Australia's remote areas and overseas. I have assisted CPS with it's annual Introduction to Photography course for over 25 years, convened judging panels and have been involved as a Committee Member of the Club.My judging experience started with being on CPS judging panels in the early 1990's.  This led to me judging VAPS, Nationals, and visiting and judging many Clubs throughout Victoria.I was awarded Life Membership of the Caulfield Photographic Society, in 2010 the VAPS 'Service to Photography' Medal  and in 2017 I was awarded the 30 year medalI have been an Australian Photographic Judges Association member since its inception.  I am the present Vice-President, and hold a Licentiate accreditation in APJA.
